Rent the 3 bedroom Kingston Homestead as a holiday home for up to a maximum of 6 guests.*

Your host lives next door and is available only when needed so you get to enjoy the homestead to yourself in peace and quiet. The Kingston Homestead holiday house accommodation includes:

Facilities

  • Tea and Coffee making facilities in the kitchen
  • Laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board (shared with the host)

  • Complementary tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen staples like cooking oil, salt and pepper
  • All bathrooms have sufficient toilet paper, hair dryers, hand soap, shower gel and shampoo
  • All bedrooms include full linen, electric blankets and towels

Dining

Continental breakfast is an optional extra when renting the entire Homestead as a holiday house.  There is a cafe and restaurant in the village that also has a shop that sells a very small selection of food and personal items and the nearest supermarket is in Frankton at Remarkables Park, by Queenstown Airport. The kitchen is prepared with complementary tea, coffee, sugar and kitchen staples like cooking oil, salt and pepper.
For something special, dinner at the Homestead can be arranged with a local chef, on request.

Bedrooms:

The Trotter and Mackenzie Rooms are set up with Super King beds as standard and the Caldwell room is set up as a Twin room as standard. All 3 bedrooms have super king beds that split into long singles, the bed configuration can be changed for stays of 2 or more nights.

1. The Trotter Room

Master Bedroom with Ensuite

Named after the owners of the original Kingston Homestead, you can still visit the old ruins about 2km south of the village. The Trotter room is the master bedroom in the house and has it’s own ensuite shower room. 2. The Mackenzie Room

Mackenzie bedroom with Shared Bathroom

Named after the original owners of this property, this bedroom has private access from the front deck and the bathroom immediately across the hall. 3. The Caldwell Room

Caldwell Room with Shared Bathroom

Named after the couple who relocated the homestead to Kingston in 2004, the Caldwell Room shares a bathroom with the Mackenzie room. Normally set up as a twin room, the beds can be joined into a Super King for stays of 2 or more nights.

 

* Queenstown Lakes District Council bylaws limit guests to a maximum of 2 per bedroom, a maximum of 6 people in total in the 3 rooms. There are absolutely NO exceptions.
